Adrienne Waterman for Vallejo School Board

As a dedicated community leader and parent, my proven commitment to Vallejo’s children will bring much needed effectiveness and vision to the school board.

While president of the Vallejo Architectural Heritage Foundation I was the project lead for the City Park Enchanted Playground - designed by Vallejo’s children and built by hundreds of community volunteers. As the director of the Vallejo Community Arts Foundation I developed a youth mural arts program and still run the acclaimed Summer Arts Camp.

My work in Vallejo public schools include facilitating the arts teachers at the Vallejo Charter School (VCS), acting as Vice-President of the VCS Council and working as a noon-duty supervisor.

With my non-profit experience I have produced relevant programs that serve the public on very conservative budgets. I have the vision and experience to make prudent decisions without losing sight of our long-term goals, working to create a financially healthy school district that supports our children and honors our teachers.

We must think creatively about how to maximize our resources while increasing academic excellence. We must ensure safe schools for our kids and supportive work environments for our educators through grant writing, parent participation, and volunteerism. I respectfully ask for your vote.
