I hope this finds you well.

I'm writing today to make sure that you know about the Adrienne Waterman Vallejo School Board campaign. I'm supporting Adrienne's run, and I hope that you will too.

Adrienne's commitment to the family and children of Vallejo is not new. She works hard to bringing out the best in Vallejo's diverse community. Adrienne Waterman:

Led the charge to rebuild Vallejo's City Park. And she did it in a way that engaged the community in the design and the build so that they could truly own this gem of a park. You can see some reporting from the build here: http://bit.ly/b2Ecy

Served as the director of Vallejo Community Arts Foundation. In that role, she developed a youth mural art program and still runs the Summer Arts Camp.

Both of these projects, show Adrienne's ability to inspire genuine community engagement and work within limited budgets. She will bring these same skills to the School Board. As Adrienne says, "We must think creatively about how to maximize our resources while increasing academic excellence. We must ensure safe schools for our kids and supportive work environments for our educators through grant writing, parent participation, and volunteerism."
